Information modification regulation of substances 2017

We inform you that on August 3, the official journal of the European Union (No. L 202/1) published the ban on cosmetic products of the following substance:

HYDROXYISOHEXYL 3 – CYCLOHEXENE CARBOXALDEHYDE (LYRAL)

And this is expressed in REGULATION (EU) 2017/1410 OF THE COMMISSION of August 2, 2017, which modifies Annexes II and III of Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, on the Cosmetic products.

This substance is a common allergen in perfumes, so we must review all formulas and eliminate it within the time limits established by the administration:

Deadlines

As of August 23, 2019, cosmetic products containing the substance prohibited by this Regulation shall not be placed on the Union market. During these two years you can still use essences with Lyral.

As of August 23, 2021, cosmetic products containing the substance prohibited by this Regulation shall not be placed on the Union market. There are four years to consume products containing Lyral before they are withdrawn from the market.
